This cushion cover is made from the iconic Pakokku War Da Blanket, a textile rooted in Myanmar’s rich weaving tradition. Originally characterized by red and black tones, the blanket now features a vibrant mix of colors while maintaining the durability and colorfast quality that makes it long-lasting. It is woven with Myanmar cotton, skillfully combining traditional weaving techniques with modern craftsmanship.

The original War Da Blanket was created in 1938 by master weaver U Win, who named it after his favorite song, “Thu Htay War Da.” Over time, the name was shortened, and the textile became known simply as the War Da Blanket, celebrated as a hallmark of Pakokku weaving.

Recrafted into a cushion cover and finished with tassels, this piece brings both history and vibrant contemporary style into your home.
